Dennis D. Dean
Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the Board
Dennis Dean is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of C.H. Dean, Inc., succeeding his father, founder Chauncey H. Dean, in February 2001.

Dennis joined the family firm in 1970. He managed the firm’s portfolios, developed the company’s accounting system for securities and served as a trader. By the end of the decade, Dennis was named Vice President and shifted his focus to client relations, marketing and management. He was named Executive Vice President in 1984 and became President and Chief Operating Officer in 1991. During that period, he was also a senior institutional portfolio manager and served on the Central Investment Committee.

 

Stephen M. Miller
President, C.H. Dean, Inc.
Steve Miller is President of C.H. Dean, Inc.  Steve has held numerous leadership positions with the company since he joined Dean in 1992. Prior to joining Dean, he spent ten years with “Big Five” accounting firms Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, specializing in individual and large corporation taxes. Steve graduated with a BA in Political Science from Franklin College and an MBA from Indiana University with a concentration in Accounting and Taxation.

He is active in community activities where he serves as Chair of the Victoria Theatre Association and Arts Center Foundation and is a former member of the advisory board for both the University of Dayton School of Business and the Davis Center for Portfolio Management.

Kevin E. Laub, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Kevin Laub is a founding member of DCM and serves as the lead portfolio manager on the Large Cap Value and Multi Cap Value strategies. Kevin also provides research support and oversight to all other DCM investment strategies. Prior to joining DCM, he served as the Chief Investment Officer at C.H. Dean. Kevin has extensive experience as an analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to joining C.H. Dean, he served as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at American Century Investments where he co-managed their small cap value product. Prior to joining that company, he was a senior auditor for Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Laub has worked in the financial industry since 1993.

Kevin received his BA and MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a CFA charter holder, a member of the CFA Institute.

 

Douglas A. Leach, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Doug Leach is a founding member of DCM and serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and lead portfolio manager on the Mid Cap Value strategy. Doug also provides research support to all other DCM investment strategies. Prior to joining DCM, he served as senior equity analyst to C.H. Dean beginning in 2006. He has over 15 years of investment experience including experience as a senior analyst with American Century Investments.

Doug received his BA from Central Missouri State and his MBA from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.

 

Steven D. Roth, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Steve Roth is a founding member of DCM and serves as the lead portfolio manager on the Small Cap Value strategy. Steve also provides research support to all other DCM investment strategies. Prior to joining DCM, he was a member of the Small Cap Value team at American Century Investments, most recently as a portfolio manager. Prior to American Century, Steve worked as an equity analyst at Strong Capital Management. He has worked in the financial industry since 2000.

Steve received his BA from the University of Nebraska where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.

 

Patrick J. Krumm
Client Portfolio Manager
Patrick Krumm is a founding member of DCM and serves as a client portfolio manager. Patrick is responsible for client service, marketing, and institutional sales for DCM. Prior to joining DCM, Patrick worked for American Century Investments as a vice president and client portfolio manager, where he represented the value portfolio teams in communicating investment results and strategies to institutional clients from 2001 through 2008. Patrick joined American Century in 1990 and spent over 14 years working directly with institutional clients and consultants.

Patrick received his BA from Rockhurst University and his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
